India has discovered the camera. She now will pick up anything approximating a camera and start saying cheese and get you to pose. I thought it would be fun to take some pictures of ourselves hanging out.....she loved it!

Hanging At the Park

One of my most enjoyable things to do is go to the park with India. Like most kids she just loves it there. She runs from the slide to the swing to whatever in pure unabashed wonderment....it truly is a gift to be able to see life through that of a childs. I believe this is one of the greatest rewards as a parent is this opportunity to glimpse back into the joy we once felt as children...it is pure, lovely and incredibly enjoyable!!

Wake Up Christian

This is what happens to you when you are up drinking till 5 in the morning and then up in 2 hours and off skiing for the day!! Impressive!!

Bathtime with India

India's favourite activity by far is bath time. She would take 5 baths a day if we let her.

Play

Our little girl loves to play. She obviously is not alone with this infatuation as most kids her age are also totally into playing. I thought I would capture a couple of pictures of her running around in Trish's entryway:

Weekend

Well it was an important weekend in that it was the first time that I had India over for the whole night without Trish. This was for more for when Trish felt comfortable to be away from India for a night rather than India. As it turns out the night fantastic with India waking up once at 11:00 pm, I got her back down, and then the next thing I remember is here tickling me at about 2:00 am....pretty funny. Moe likely she was poking me to wake me up rather than tickle me but I choose the latter :-).

Latest Thoughts on India

Just wanted to post a couple of photos of my little darling eating...being a true Foucher she loves to eat. And in even truer form to her genetic heritage she really likes watching TV while she eats. Check out the pictures below:

Happy 45th Wedding Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Well like I said at their 40th I would be lucky to have half the relationship my Mom and Dad have. I feel very lucky to have been brought up by these two:

I was chatting to my Dad this morning and he mentioned that it was beautiful up in PG today but it wasn't that nice on their wedding day. He said there was snow on the ground. He also told me that they got married in the auditorium at Sacred Heart as they were still in the process of building the church. It's amazing as I get older that these little detials become more important to me.

India's Back

Well Trish and India got back from Winnipeg last night. Boy did I miss my little girl. It was so great to see her but she was so tired. Trish has a little scare as they were boarding to Victoria from Calgary as India began to scream inconsolably. Then to top it off her nose began to bleed. Understandably Trish was concerned and talked to the flight staff as she got settled into her seat. India finally relaxed (only by Trish giving her the boob) but the flight staff called the medivac team in Victoria. So as I waited at the airport and everyone got off except for them I got a little concerned. Little did I know the medivac team was checking India out on the plane. Turns out she is absolutely fine and she was great today. Thank God.

Blink

This morning I went out and bought 'Blink' by Malcolm Gladwell after hearing Amber mention it on CommandN. Settled down to a nice breakfast at the Rebar and piled through 40 pages of it. So far, in typical Gladwell fashion, it will once again change how many people look at the world and their reactions in it. I am hooked.

EyeTV

Well my EyeTV bit the dust today. it has been flaky the last month or so to the point of unusability. I thought it was the strength (or lack there of) of my cable signal. However it turns out the the TV tuner burnt out on it. Elgato has offered me some refurbished models at a discount on it as it is beyond the warranty period.

The model I am thinking of getting is the EyeTV 200. It looks like it will definately meet my needs althougth the thought of dropping more cash burns me.....

Resemblances

I am beginning to see me in my little girl (people have been commenting on it forever). Here is a picture of me when I was a kid (I need to get Mom and Dad to confirm how old I am - I can't be more than 3).

Checking Out Flock

Well I thought I would check out the abilities of the new Flock browser which is based on the Mozilla core. So far very interesting. I am actually posting this from within Flock which has a blogging tool built in. It remains to be seen how useful this is but I am sure it has features and functions I am unaware of at this time.
